Visalia

Visalia is situated in the San Joaquin Valley on Highway 99, about 230 miles southeast of San Francisco, 190 miles north of Los Angeles, and 35 miles west of Sequoia National Park. It is the economic and government center of Tulare County, one of the most productive agricultural regions in the nation. Light manufacturing and distribution play an increasing role in the economy. The City of Visalia hosts annual festivals, live music, fireworks, sporting events, and other activities. The World Ag Expo, an international agricultural exhibition that draws more than 100,000 attendees, is held every year in nearby Tulare.
